I'm 56 years old, and I have to say that although PT Cruisers don't make my skin crawl, they do make me feel, well, icky. I've noticed that they are primarily driven by people of my generation. I'm sure there is some kind of retro/nostalgia thing going on, but the whole thing just seems so phony-baloney, that it makes me feel embarrassed and sad.

M.S.

I'm with you on the hideousness of the PT Cruiser. I drive a New Beetle, which I got a great deal on because the previous owner traded it in for a PT Cruiser. (Fool!) And some of the colors the PT Cruisers come in are unspeakable--what ARE these car buyers thinking? My nominee for second ugliest car: any Hummer. Not only are they unpleasant to look at, I'm morally outraged when I see these horrible gas guzzlers on the road.
