Thank you for this rundown of endangered places and reminding us that
not everything has to a grand architectural icon to warrant significance and preservation.

Brian. Seismic retrofitting. The code for all buildings new or old does not mandate seismic proof buildings....only limiting damage such that the structure will remain safe for occupants to survive. So the Wong Laundry building- if deemed historically important, could be safe with proper retrofitting.
