It is about time that David Rockwood got some attention for that beautiful house.  It is in a somewhat gated portion of the island, so you have to go by foot and walk around a gate.  Easy trespass for architects  :)  He was the Director at the Oregon School of Design prior to the closure. He took the school from a Beaux Arts school into a modern process intense school of art and architecture. Too bad it is not around.  Many popular faces in Portland taught there.  The only other thing that I understand Rockwood was responsible for in town before he left was the Johnny Sole storefront and interiors.  It is across from Rich's Cigar shop.  I don't know of anything else built.
