I'm happy to hear this news. But I'm more happy to hear that Oregon will get it's first Bio-diesel refinery (1,000,000 gallons per year) in November if all goes as planned. I drive from Gresham to Hillsboro for work in my 2000 TDI Jetta. Soon I hope to be able to afford a burnable product in my car that doesn't support the Texas firms. I believe the exhaust from bio-diesel isn't going to be as bad as petrol-based diesel is.

At least it's a start in cutting our dependence on foreign oil interest (Texan or Saudi). Start buying those Kettle Chips!!!

re: Yesterday it was announced that Portland is the first US city to drop its emissions below 1990 levels.

JK: Who made this announcement, based on what?
