I tend to agree with blogger Michael Totten (michaeltotten.blogspot.com), who called it "the ugliest building I have ever seen."

You guys are entitled to your opinions, of course, but when that degree of negativity comes up, sometimes I suspect it almost comes back full-circle to subconsciously liking it :)


I see that building every night I wait for the streetcar, and I love the building. It is a perfect location for businesses that are more on the quirky side. I would love to see it not just renovated, but rethinked it and improve on the original idea.

I think that little building says more about Portland than any other buildings here.
